At Discovery Preschool & Child Care our program is designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment to care for and develop young children in our neighborhood and community. It is our goal to make these early years of school a happy and nurturing experience that will prepare our children for a healthy and bright future.
We offer a balanced curriculum that has been written and designed by our highly qualified teachers and staff to encourage development physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. Close and personal attention is given to each child. Our curriculum allows children to explore and learn at their own level. We offer a wide variety of learning experiences to encourage the advancement and excitement of learning. Our teachers and staff work with families to establish effective communication so that each child’s learning and developmental needs are met.
Discovery Preschool and Child Care welcome all children regardless of race, color, religion, nationality or background. Children are accepted on a first come, first serve basis, and we maintain a waiting list for those age groups that are full. Our center cooperates fully with all federal, state and local regulations. Our preschool program is designed to prepare your preschooler for kindergarten. A daily lesson plan is posted in the classroom for your review. We encourage our preschoolers to problem solve and be independent when appropriate. Our classroom is divided into different centers so that your child can explore a variety of opportunities for learning. We believe that much of what preschool children learn will come from active play.
