Listed in Senior Home Care
At FirstLight we know your first priority when choosing a senior in home care provider is finding someone you can trust and rely on… someone who will care for your loved one as you would, and as we would our own. We’ve been where you are, and this is one of the main reasons we chose to be in this business.
Our extraordinary caregivers are the most significant members of our team in delivering our service commitment to others. By embracing each day with values of trust, honesty, respect, integrity, and dedication, we cultivate our relationships to the benefit of each caregiver and the entire organization as a whole.
What is the Difference Between Home Care and Home Healthcare?
Both home care and home health care have the same goal: to keep your loved ones safe and as healthy as possible. Often, they work in tandem. A home health care nurse or physician’s assistant will visit your home and potentially adjust your prescriptions, while a non-medical caregiver will make sure these medications are taken on time. A physical or occupational therapist may design an exercise plan for you; a non-medical caregiver will help you with these exercises throughout the day. Home healthcare is usually prescribed by a physician when you need skilled care in your home. Both services require specific licensing and both assist with activities of daily living (ADL).
Travel Companion Program
Traveling can be daunting under the best circumstances, but for seniors, elderly, those with disabilities, or those recovering or rehabilitating from an illness or injury, it can seem particularly overwhelming or unmanageable. With FirstLight Home Care’s Travel Companion Program, our extraordinary senior caregivers provide exceptional care and companionship during your or your elderly loved one’s travels.
